What Does a District Conference Chair Do?
A District Conference Chair serves for a single district conference (spring or fall) to coordinate all planning and execution activities. This coordination includes:
- Help in the selection of the host site
- Be involved in all phases of planning the conference: publicity, presenters, committees, registration, ceremonies, contests, meals, etc.
- Select all chair persons to serve as your conference committee chairs
- Work with all involved: the District Trio, the presenters, the host site staff, the caterers, etc.
- Assure all printed materials are done, and done properly
- Make sure appreciation and recognition is given to all who help with the conference
