Club Officer Elections

1-2 months prior to elections (annual elections are each May, semiannual clubs also elect in November) - The club president appoints a nominating committee of 3 active club members with one member being a past president. Usually, the Immediate Past President chairs the committee
- Nominating committee selects members to fill officer positions for the coming term based upon their ability to fulfill the standards of the office and willingness to serve if elected
Club meeting immediately prior to the meeting when elections will be held Nominating committee presents its report
First meeting in May (and first meeting in November for semiannual elections) Club president conducts election of officers. For each office:
- Accepts nominations
- A member of the nominating committee nominates the committee's recommended candidate
- Entertains a motion to close nominations, requires a second and a vote
- Instructs everyone to cast their ballots
- Ask two people to tally votes
- Announce the winner
June 30 (and December 31 for semiannual elections) Submit club officer list to Toastmasters International. This can be done online via the TI website
Last meeting in June or first meeting in July (and the last meeting in December of the first meeting in January for semiannual clubs) Conduct officer installation. This can be performed by a past president of the club, area governor, division governor or some other district officer
