I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is a time to think about those who are
special to us, and I want you to know that you all are
very special to me. As members of Toastmasters
International, we are all part of one of the finest
organizations in the world. An organization that
believes in helping people build and improve their
skills in communication and leadership. The best
part is, it is accomplished by each of us supporting
and helping one another. Your dedication and
commitment to setting and reaching your goals while
helping fellow club members do the same has made
District 22 one of the finest in the world.
Continue to strive to be the best you can be by setting and working to reach your next goal. What will it be, a CC or AC, a new CL or AL? Write your goal down and do something every day to reach it. Set a timeframe to accomplish it, ideally, before June, the end of this Toastmasters year.
and May every day contain a little of Valentine’s Day for you. |

As the title implies, time is beginning to run short,
short for what you may ask? The answer is simple;
the sand is slipping through the hour glass for
educational awards.
For those of you brand new to Toastmasters, these are the Competent Communicator (CC), Advanced Communicator (AC), the Competent Leader (CL), Advanced Leader (AL) and, of course, the coveted Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). I urge each of you to work hard to complete the next level before the deadline of June 30th this year. It is NOT too late. It can be done with a little planning and team work in your club. As a district, we are just barely behind where we should be for this time of year. A little harder on the gas pedal will see us through. Talk with your club VP of Education as to how to attain your next education goal and do your part to become recognized and help the district to achieve its goal of Distinguished. |

Talk Up Toastmasters from Feb 1 – March 31. Add
five new or reinstated members. Applications must
list a “join date” between these dates and be received
by World Headquarters by March 31. Receive a
special ribbon for your banner and recognition for your
club while you do what you would do any way: sign up
new members.
Think of all you have benefited from with the Toastmaster program. Don’t you want to share it with others? This is a good time for special Bring A Guest Meetings. Perhaps give a prize for who brings the most. Use your imaginations. Tell us about what you tried and the success that you had. |

It’s time to Bring A Guest to your meetings. B.A.G.
promotions can build your membership and help the
club attain its goals for the Distinguished Club Plan.
Toastmasters is a great idea and it’s up to you to tell
others about your club. Host a B.A.G. meeting and
have some fun with the event.
I invited my mom to join my club and she joined. It’s fun to include family or friends. THANKS! |

Did you know that Toastmasters International makes
available to everyone when and where your club
meets and your club’s contact information? Is your
club’s information with Toastmasters International up
to date? Want to improve your chances of potential
new members finding your club via the Internet?
First, go to www.toastmasters.org/find/advSearch.asp. Enter the appropriate search criteria to find your club. Look at the information there to see what needs to change. The club number is available on this resulting search. If all of the information is accurate, congratulations and thank you. You are done! Otherwise, go to https://ecommerce.toastmasters.org/timssnet/login/int _login.cfm#detail.cfm. You will need your club number and club password here. If you do not know the club password, a club officer can get it by email from Toastmasters International. Simply click the link labeled “click here” for the forgotten password. Fill out the requested information. Your own member number can be found on correspondence you personally have with Toastmasters International. It is also on the label of your Toastmasters Magazine. Next, enter the club number and club password. After the next screen appears, look at your options available. Discover anything new you did not know you could do here? To change your club information, click the link labeled “Change my club’s meeting and/or club officer information”. Make the appropriate changes and save them. That’s it! Congratulations and thank you.
Now your club is up to date.
Division A: Congratulations to all of you who worked to get these new clubs up and running and to all of the new members who are now able to have the Toastmasters experience. |

In January, a new document, Forming New Clubs
Checklist, was put out on District web site. This is a
very detailed document with step by step instructions
and information on where to get all the forms. There
are also new documents giving example e-mails and
letters that might be helpful.
To find these documents, go to Tips and Tools from the Home page of www.toastmasters22.org . Then scroll toward the bottom. There’s lots of other good stuff in there, too. Look around, you’ll be surprised. I was. |
